Square Pendant Necklace, Abstract Large Pink House, Full Moon
This abstract rendition of The Pink House in Newburyport, MA, a painted original, will delight you and keep a piece of Newburyport near to your heart. Whether you live here, have moved away or traveled here for vacation, you’ve no doubt driven by or zipped past this scene on your bike.
The landscape is painted directly onto the back of the glass using a modern take on a traditional technique called Ebru, where paint is floated on water and swirled into a design. The abstract pink house is surrounded by salt marsh on Plum Island Turnpike. I’ve painted renditions of dawn, daylight, dusk and, of course, by the full evening moon!
This listing is for the night-time version, a full moon with blue and glittery black skies. The colors are dark and moody but for the bright moon lighting up the Pink House, which is enveloped in a glowing teal green aura.
If you’re from Newburyport, have visited Newburyport or have ever heard of Newburyport, you know there’s no shortage of artwork inspired by The Pink House. There is a mystique surrounding The Pink House, which was built in 1925 and still stands in the salt marsh hay farm land by Plum Bush Downs.
